Thirteen-year-old Miranda has moved to a small seaside town. At first, it seems to be dull place where nothing happens. But it’s not long before she becomes convinced that something is stalking her.

Miranda thinks she’s going mad and there’s no one she can tell. But at her new school she’s drawn to the haughty but talented Cal and her mysterious group of friends. They share her belief that something evil is out there – and point to the town’s deadly past.

The new friends must uncover the mystery, and fast before the shadow sweeps them all up and unleashes destruction. And to play her part, Miranda must face both the darkness within and the evil without.
